They have nine years left of the extension signed in 2012. But there are


options if the league dissolves which I believe is triggered if 7 or more schools vote to do so. Additionally, a GOR can be revoked. Nobody ever talks about this but all that has to happen is the conference members vote to waive the GOR. Why would they do this? Well, the remaining schools would do this as a condition for finding a home in a new conference. In other words WVU might vote to untie the GOR so they can go to the SEC while Kansas votes that way to join the B1G. If there are enough schools with a suitable home then they would vote to dissolve or release the GOR. I believe this will happen if they cannot agree on a network and expansion.

The kind of money we are talking about will not be hijacked by one or two schools being unhappy with their options. In the end I think we see all the B12 schools with a good home either in an expanded B12 or another P4 conference. No one is going to walk away making less money.
